I remember someone telling me that after kindergarten, kids just seem to grow up overnight. I have caught myself staring at Connor lately and feeling the same thing...what happened to my little boy? Suddenly, this big kid is in his place?!

You guys have just been SO busy (which is a good thing, not enough time for too many tears, ha!) and having so much fun! Jacob's end of year activities looked like a blast, and how fortunate that they are so accommodating for siblings. I just can't believe everything y'all packed into the end of year, so I can definitely understand why you're ready for summer!

Your Pinterest projects are AWESOME! That banner was just too cute, and how fun to give beach toys and get the kids excited about our trip. CAN'T WAIT!! Jacob looks like such a big kid with his gap-toothed grin! And oh my, what an incredible accomplishment with his reading!! You have every right to be a proud Mama, and Jacob should be so proud of himself too. I'm a big believer that strong reading skills provide the foundation for everything else in learning, and the fact that Jacob has excelled is such an indicator that he will achieve great success in school. Way to go, buddy!!

I know your summer is off to a great start and that even more exciting times are coming soon. I'm thinking of you as you adjust to having a 1st grader -- I'm almost positive that I'll be riding the emotional wave myself very soon. :-)Laurihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02054176826733096632noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1977418508849527528.post-61741638805343720282012-06-05T05:35:32.276-05:002012-06-05T05:35:32.276-05:00Oh, such sweet, smart and talented babies (oops, n...Oh, such sweet, smart and talented babies (oops, not a couple definitely NOT babies anymore!!). I, too, can't believe his first year of school has come to an end. I can only imagine the emotions...

And Lukie has been a busy boy, too! (BTW, how much longer do you think he'll let us call him that?) I had forgotten their class was the frogs, and those t-shirts are so darn cute! Looks like their end-of-year celebrations were fun times for the whole family.

And I know that your Sarah-bear is right in the thick of it all. Sweet girl. Can't wait to wrap my arms around those babies of yours in just a couple of weeks! He is off to such a great start and it is obvious he is going to have such a bright future. I couldn't be more proud of my punkin bear! That's awesome that he picked up his swim skills so quickly again.
