Halloween festivities

October was packed full of Halloween Fall fun! Here's what Mario, Luigi and Miss Fairy have been up to the last couple of weeks...

Jacob told me our house was decorated "too happy" for Halloween and it needed to be more spooky. Lol! So I found a friendly ghost and some spiders and spider webs to decorate the front yard. That seemed to be spooky enough for him!

When I asked them how they wanted to carve the pumpkin, Luke said "Well everyone has circle eyes so he needs circle eyes and he needs a monster mouth."  Jacob requested the triangle nose. And I added the eyebrows for a little extra!

Luke's school had Trunk-or-Treat one evening and the kids loved going from car to car collecting loads of candy.

The Mario brothers!

Sarah being selective about her candy choice. And no, the hat is not part of her costume but as soon as she saw the boys wearing their hats, she ran and got her own! Not going to be left out! :)

Luke walking in his school Halloween parade.

Sarah always seems to find the other kids her age!

Later that afternoon he had his Halloween party.

Pass the pumpkin.

Decorating pumpkins.

Being one of the room-moms for Luke's class makes it easier to plan for all siblings to participate! :)

Decorating their own Halloween cookie.

Getting ready to Trick-or-Treat!

And off they go!

Sarah bringing up the rear!

We met up with some friends in the neighborhood.

Sweet kiddos!

  1. Ok, their costumes are SO cute! The Mario/Luigi thing is so fitting for those little Wii fans! :) Looks like they all 3 had a blast with all the halloween fun activities. It's so cute to see Luke's class picture with all the sweet little costumes. Loves!

  2. Now that is milking halloween for all it's worth! Have you told them any "back-in-the-day stories" about how we only got candy ONE night of the year - HALLOWEEN? LOL! The costumes were so cute, but I have to say, I love that Sarah managed to find a costume that would work with her pink boots. Perfect! Oh, and the coordinating pink hat that was a must-wear after seeing her brothers in their hats. One day, Luke and Jacob are going to be ready to go on a date, and I can just see her jumping in the car, too, asking, "You didn't think you were going without me, did you?" Little stinker. Will not be left out thankyouverymuch.

Loved catching up. Can't believe another baseball season has come and gone. I know in some ways there's a sigh of relief and in others a sigh of disbelief that it comes and goes in the blink of an eye. Glad your capturing your memories with the camera to share with the rest of us. =) Love you, sweet friend.

  4. Looks like fun was had by all. Love Sarah wanting to be like her brothers. So precious. The boys were perfect as Mario and Luigi. I remember playing mario bros all the time growing up! Been reading/loving all of your posts but haven't been good about commenting. Love you!
