Some friends of ours volunteered to watch the boys while Jim and I had one last night out before the baby gets here. We happily accepted their offer. :)
We went to Rick's Chophouse on the square in McKinney. We had a great time and the food was just perfect. Although I will say that nothing would have topped the meal off better than a glass of red wine with my steak dinner. Oh how I've missed my wine. :)
On another note, we put Sarah's car seat in the car and rearranged the seats. Jacob now sits in the middle, Luke behind me and Sarah will be behind the passenger seat. Have you ever seen so many seats in one row? Gotta love the Honda Pilot!
How sweet are they? I expected Luke to put up a little fuss once we moved his seat but he didn't blink an eye. And of course Jacob loves being in the middle, knowing he will eventually be able to help with Sarah and also be next to Luke.
And on another note, we had our friends, the Seifers over one night last week. They have 3 kids and it was fun watching all the kids play together.

Fun Family Weekend
This past weekend we made one last road trip to East Texas, with my doctor's blessing of course. Kyla and Michael flew in for a long weekend because Kyla is the Godmother to our cousin's new baby, Kaylee and her baptism was this past Sunday. I also had a family baby shower on Saturday since everyone was together. It was great fun and we got lots of great baby girl stuff for Sarah.
The shower was at Kristina's house in Tyler and we had a yummy lunch catered by Oliveto.
Group picture- almost all the girls from the Eckel side were there. We had such a fun time just having all the girls together and decided we needed to have a girls day/weekend more often!
Sweet sisters
Kaylee's baptism- my cousin Brian is the tall one, his wife Tiffinie and Kaylee. Brian's brother, Kyle is the Godfather and Kyla is the Godmother.
Sadly, this is the best picture we got of all the kids!
Sweet boys
On another note, I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and nothing new to report. Heartbeat sounded strong and she is still head down. I'm 37 weeks today and go back to the doctor next Tuesday...and so we wait! :)

36 weeks
...and counting! I can't believe I only have 4 weeks left, or 1 week if she comes early like her brothers! I had an appointment this morning and all looks good. I ended up having an ultrasound since I haven't had one since week 20. They did a biophysical profile where they measure the baby's heart rate, muscle tone, movement, breathing, and the amount of amniotic fluid. Everything looked great. Baby girl is in position, head down, face down. The sono tech couldn't get a profile picture because Sarah was so tucked in facing my back. I got to see her practicing her breathing and the sono tech pointed out a little bit of hair. She estimated her weight at 6 lbs 4 oz. I am so thankful that she looks healthy and is in position. Let's just hope she stays that way. We are getting so excited to meet our sweet angel, she will be here soon!

Survivor
I am so happy to let you all know that my mom has successfully completed her treatment for breast cancer. For the last 10 months since her diagnosis, she has undergone months of chemotherapy and radiation. During this time, she has remained nothing but positive, shown great strength and leaned on her incredible faith to take her through this challenging time.
Mom, I am so very proud of you for making it through all of this with such a great attitude. Seeing you be so strong helped me as well. And Dad, you have been Mom's rock and have been so supportive through all of this. Your support has amazed me and I am so thankful for the commitment you both have to each other. God has blessed you indeed. I continue to pray for God's healing hand on you Mom and for continued strength as you continue to heal.
As a celebration of completing her treatment, they took a 7 day Caribbean cruise and had a wonderful time! I love you both!

Berry Pickin'
On our way back from Tyler on Monday, the boys and I stopped off at a blueberry farm in between Tyler and Canton. Jim had a client appointment in East Texas so he wasn't able to join us. However, the boys had a great time picking berries. We eat a lot of blueberries so I think it was a neat experience for them to see how they grow etc. Jacob was so excited about it and kept saying how much fun it was. It's the little things in life, right! :)
Sour, is it? Once Luke realized you could eat them straight from the bush, I don't think any more made it into his basket.
We ended up filling up one of their baskets which was a half gallon for $6. Can't beat that!
