Berry Pickin'

On our way back from Tyler on Monday, the boys and I stopped off at a blueberry farm in between Tyler and Canton. Jim had a client appointment in East Texas so he wasn't able to join us. However, the boys had a great time picking berries. We eat a lot of blueberries so I think it was a neat experience for them to see how they grow etc. Jacob was so excited about it and kept saying how much fun it was. It's the little things in life, right! :)

Sour, is it? Once Luke realized you could eat them straight from the bush, I don't think any more made it into his basket.

We ended up filling up one of their baskets which was a half gallon for $6. Can't beat that!

  1. How fun! Alex had his first blueberries this morning, and he seemed to like them. He decided that he needed to squish every one before putting them in his mouth to eat. Thank goodness I had thought to strip him down to eat - I knew that we were destined for a mess!

  2. What a fun treat for the kids! And it's important for them to understand that food doesn't just show up on the store shelves!!! Hope you had a fun weekend with your sister and the cousins!

  3. Definitely a perfect summer activity! Maybe I could do something like that to get Connor more interested in fruit? He turns his nose up at anything except bananas!

By the way, is it just me or has Jacob grown a foot taller? Your boys have just gotten so big!! Miss you!
