Fun Family Weekend

This past weekend we made one last road trip to East Texas, with my doctor's blessing of course. Kyla and Michael flew in for a long weekend because Kyla is the Godmother to our cousin's new baby, Kaylee and her baptism was this past Sunday. I also had a family baby shower on Saturday since everyone was together. It was great fun and we got lots of great baby girl stuff for Sarah.

The shower was at Kristina's house in Tyler and we had a yummy lunch catered by Oliveto.

Group picture- almost all the girls from the Eckel side were there. We had such a fun time just having all the girls together and decided we needed to have a girls day/weekend more often!

Sweet sisters

Kaylee's baptism- my cousin Brian is the tall one, his wife Tiffinie and Kaylee. Brian's brother, Kyle is the Godfather and Kyla is the Godmother.

Sadly, this is the best picture we got of all the kids!

Sweet boys

On another note, I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and nothing new to report. Heartbeat sounded strong and she is still head down. I'm 37 weeks today and go back to the doctor next Tuesday...and so we wait! :)

  1. Wow, I had no idea there were so many girls in the Eckel family! What a fun time together! And I love the pics of you and your Mom and sisters - y'all are all so beautiful!

We'll see if your pattern stays true and your water breaks tonight, ha ha! Enjoy these last couple days/weeks! :-)

  2. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! I can't wait to see some of the fun girly stuff you got for Sarah. Hopefully she will at least hold out until after Saturday so that we can have our final friend dinner without the babies. :-) Can't wait to meet her!!!

  3. You and your family always seem to have the best get-togethers! I love that you are passing that tradition down to your little ones so that they are close with their cousins.

Each day I wonder, will today be the day Sarah arrives... I can't wait to meet her!
