I really am SO far behind in my posts (and commenting). I'll start with Mother's Day last weekend. One of my cousins was graduating from college last weekend in Austin. We, along with many of the Eckels decided to head down for the celebration. Before the party on Saturday we had some time to spare so we headed down to the Capitol.

At one point Jacob said, "This is really nice Mom." He seemed to be impressed with it all. While Luke and Sarah ran around like they owned the place! |

Having a snack on the lawn. |

Sarah loved seeing all the friendly squirrels. |

She had no fear and neither did they. She had a blast feeding them some of her snacks. |

Boy- I think we wore them out! |
After visiting the Capitol we headed to The Salt Lick BBQ restaurant where my cousin was having his graduation celebration. And for some strange reason I didn't take any pictures?? It was a fun place, huge, crowded and seems to have quite the reputation down there. The food was great and it was fun catching up with the all the family.
There was a Catholic church near our hotel so we all went to Mass Sunday morning then to Olive Garden afterwards for a Mother's Day lunch. It was fun to be all together and to celebrate Mother's Day with my Mom and sisters. I didn't manage to get a picture with my kiddos. :( Sarah was ready for a nap and I knew trying to take pictures wasn't going to go well!
Hope you all had a blessed Mother's Day!
Looks like a perfect Mother's Day weekend to me!! Getting to be together no matter where is perfect... enjoying Austin was just icing on the cake. =) Love that photo of Sarah feeding the squirrel! You have such a precious family, Katherine. blessings ~ Tanna
ReplyDeleteFun pictures girl! That one of Jim holding Sarah up in the air inside the capitol is super cute! The kiddos looked like they were quite pooped in their nap in the car! :) Happy belated Mother's Day to you sweet seester!
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of the 3 kids asleep in the car. Sign of a good day! Looks like they had fun at the capitol. I remember feeding the squirrels there about 14 years ago! And I love your LOFT dress. :-)
