Three years ago today, God blessed us with our second son, Luke James.
His presence brings so much joy to our family.
He is such a unique, special gift from God.
Can't believe he is three years old already.
He had a Cars (the movie) themed party. He LOVES anything Cars. He must have told me 100 times that he wanted a Cars cake. And it had to be chocolate--his favorite.
We had his party at a indoor play place, Going Bonkers. He and Jacob love this place and it was perfect for his party. It was packed since it was a Saturday afternoon but that never seems to phase the kids. The parents...yes but the kids no. :-)
Forget all the other gifts that his friends brought, he was perfectly happy playing with the cake topper cars.
After pizza, he enjoyed his chocolate cake.

Our sweet Luke warms my heart daily. Age three is one of my favorite and I look forward to watching him grow and change throughout the year.
On each of our kid's birthdays I always try to take family pictures. I find it hard to do this randomly throughout the year so this is a good reminder.
My three little blessings
Happy Birthday to you my sweet Lukie. I am so thankful for you. I love you and I love your sweet cuddles!!

Giddy Up Horsie/Pat-a-Cake
Sarah has recently been enjoying songs like Giddy Up Horsie and Pat-a-Cake. Wouldn't you agree?
Giddy Up Horsie!
Don't fall down!
Pat-a-Cake- Roll 'em up, Roll 'em up
Throw them in the pan.
Oh wait, are those my feet?
I know I can reach them, I know I can.
Almost there!
Got it!
Sweet baby girl!
Meanwhile, the boys got all their emergency/construction vehicles out and were having quite the time playing. And of course I asked for a smile and this is what I got! Ah boys, you gotta love them!

Snowy Fun
We enjoyed the snow day on Sunday. It was cold, cold, cold! Rainy in the a.m. but then turned to snow in the afternoon. Jacob was an eager beaver to get out there and play and Luke joined in the fun this year, well kind of.
Luke stood around like this for most of the time. He does NOT like to be cold. Just like his mommy and grandma! :) But he at least had a smile on his face. He lasted for about 15 minutes and was done!
Jacob making a snow angel.
He loved running and falling in the snow and rolling around.
The rainboots we all got for Christmas came in handy!
So pretty!

A First
Sarah hit a big milestone today. She had her first taste of rice cereal. And as you can see, she LOVED it!
After the first few bites, she kept putting her hands in her mouth as though she was trying to figure out what was on her tongue.
She was very eager for the next bite.
I have always been very adamant about breastfeeding exclusively for the first 6 months like I did with Jacob and Luke. However, Ms. Sarah was showing some serious signs of interest so I thought in order to not miss the window of opportunity, we should give it a try. She is 5 months and a week today. It does make mommy a little sad that she has already reached such a big milestone but I am thankful she is doing everything like she should.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that she continues to like solids and all the new tastes that are coming her way.
Gimme more, gimme more!
Finger lickin' good!
All gone!

Christmas Cheers
I can't believe Christmas has come and gone already. We had a great Christmas celebration here with the Webbs and enjoyed our time out in East Texas as well.
At Rhonda and Brian's
Jacob, Luke and Emily had a time wrestling before we opened presents. They had to get that excited energy out some how!
Christmas Eve, after Mass
Our sweet Christmas blessings!
Sorry Kyla...I just love this picture! The expressions say it all! :)
Great pic of my sweet parents
Spreading the reindeer food
Santa brought the boys a trampoline, new table and chairs and sleeping bags.
All the other gifts.
Sarah enjoyed opening a few gifts. But really she just wanted to chew on the paper.
Grandma enjoyed her Sarah cuddles
We love the baby bump! And no, we didn't plan the gray shirts! Ha!
On another note, we met Rhonda and Emily at the mall just before Christmas. I love Emily's expression here. It's as if she is saying "Oh my, these boys are crazy!"
On yet another note, sweet Sarah was 5 months on Sunday. She is a ball of fun. She loved playing with my empty water bottle.
We got the highchair out for another place for her to sit and play. She seems to like it but only for a short while.
The shirt says it all...if I might say so myself! :)
I put some crushed ice on her tray to explore and she seemed to like the cold sensation.
And just for kicks- here is Jacob at 5 months in the highchair.
And Luke at 5 months in the highchair.
We also got the jumper out but she wasn't too sure about this one.
Kisses from the brothers
Strong girl
Thanks to Jacob, we finally got some smiles!
Just look at those 2 bottom teeth!
Sweet, sweet girl melts momma's heart time and time again!
