Now that it's October, it's time to think Fall and Halloween.
Let the decorating begin
The boys had lots of fun decorating the window.
I learned early on that once Halloween costumes hit the stores, it's time to buy! I have made the mistake of waiting until mid-October and was out of luck. Sooo, we bought early this year and still had to go to 3 stores to find Jacob's Batman costume. Now, they had the costume just not in his size. Once we finally found it, we got the last one! Seriously, it's October 4th!
So, here's the clan...Batman, Scooby Doo and out little ladybug! Jacob knew months ago that he wanted to be Batman. He wanted the cape so he could "fly". And sweet Luke decided based on the persuasion of his brother to also be Batman. But once we got to the store Luke changed his mind. So I gave him the choice of Buzz and Woody from Toy Story which he loves, Superman, Batman or Spiderman. He didn't like any of these. So I found the Scooby Doo dog and he loved it! He's never seen the show Scooby Doo but he is such a little animal lover that I should have known he wanted to be a dog! And Sarah, well I actually bought this in early September b/c I thought it was easy, comfortable and just perfect for our little one!
They all look so cute in their costumes! I took your advice and we went halloween costume shopping on Friday. I told Jackson what we were doing and he just did not get it. He kept saying, "I want Halloween." Over and over and over again! I think he thought Halloween was some sort of special treat. I kept telling him that we were buying a special outfit to wear for Halloween but he just wanted "halloween" itself. He was very uninterested in all costumes except Darth Vader (sp?) but they didn't have little boy sizes for that one. So, we ended up with a gorilla from Carters. Since he didn't really care this year, I just picked it out for him. It's cute.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I love that you let the boys help you decorate. And I think all their costumes are just perfect! Scooby Doo is too precious!
ReplyDeleteWe love Halloween in this house, too. And we've had Connor's Buzz Lightyear costume since April, ha! I have a little pink butterfly costume for Kaitlynn but I'm not thrilled with it. Oh well, she can pick one out herself next year!
oh that last picture just makes me laugh it's so cute! I just love their little expressions! Love all the decorations and how fun for the boys to help out! It's fun they are getting older and can be more into trick or treating and dressing up. Just tell them to beware - their mom has a history of being a candy thief! :)
ReplyDeleteThose are some CUTE trick-or-treaters!! Halloween is a fun time.
ReplyDeleteLast year, I was prepared in advance. And then my Little Man outgrew his costume. I didn't realize it until the day of Halloween. So sad. This year, we bought in advance, and I'm hoping the same thing doesn't happen. Alex will be a lion. Complete with "ROAR!" =)
ReplyDeleteI love your crew: Batman, Scooby Doo, and the ladybug. I can't wait to see them for myself! Counting down the days!
BTW - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEET JACOB!! Your Aunt Amanda loves you so big!
