Jim took off last Thursday and we headed down to the State Fair of Texas. Or "the state of texas fair" according to Jacob. We had a great time and the kiddos had fun as well.
Howdy folks!
Of course we had to indulge in a Fletchers corny dog. So worth the calories!
Waiting our turn for the ferris wheel. Despite the long faces, they really were excited about it! :)
The boys loved it. Mommy- not so much. I have been on this many times in the past but I must have a fear of heights now b/c I couldn't look out. I was a nervous wreck!
Watching a sea turtle feeding.
Jacob taking his own picture.
Jacob just had to have a candy apple.
Very cool pumpkin carvings.
Jacob volunteered to be a part of the Mother Goose Story time.
They loved the bumper cars...all 3 of them!
Sweet Sarah did this the majority of the day.
Oh what fun! I love outings like that with the entire family. It looks like everyone had a blast, even Sarah. :-) And I completely relate to your ferris wheel trepidation. I was the SAME way last year at the rodeo ferris wheel, and I doubt it was nearly that high! We are getting to be fuddy duddies in our old age, ha!
ReplyDeleteIt has been perfect weather for a visit to the Fair! So glad you had a great time (excpet the ferris wheel). You are making memories that will last a lifetime!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had fun. I'm so proud of Jacob for volunteering. How cute! Sarah looks precious with her bow and all snuggly in the sling. I need to try mine again with Ryan. He might be too fat for it. Ha! Good for you guys for getting out and doing something fun!
