GO RANGERS!! We have been very excited about our beloved Rangers making it to the World Series. I think Jim is still in disbelief. He has followed and supported the Rangers all his life and it's a dream come true for him and his Dad. Jim has many memories watching and listening to the games on the radio with his Dad. So for Saturday's game we went over to his Dad and Lana's house for a little Rangers watching party. It was loads of fun. The menu consisted of nothing other than ballpark food. We started with Cracker Jacks, peanuts, popcorn and Cheetos. Then moved on to Hot Dogs and ice cream sandwiches for dessert. Not the healthiest of choices but perfect for the night. They live in Arlington not far from the Ballpark so after the game ended we all ran outside to see if we could see the fireworks but all we saw was the remaining smoke. Jacob was not happy!
Who needs to spend thousands of dollars on game tickets when you can recreate it on your own? :)
The perfect sink for a bath for Sarah before we left.
Now let's channel some good thoughts for another win tonight! Go Rangers!
Yes, nothing but good thoughts!! Go Rangers!! That menu sounds perfect to me!! =)
ReplyDeleteGo Rangers!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I pulled up this post, the first thing Jerry said was, "I wish someone else I know would make a post about the Rangers." So I asked, "What would you like me to say?" His response? "I bet Jim didn't have to tell Katherine what to say!" LOL! We are sending good thoughts from VA!!! We definitely need another win!
Wahoo Rangers - so glad they had a good night last night and we are rooting for them again tonight! It looks like y'all had a really fun night at Jim & Lana's! What yummy food too!
ReplyDeleteThat pic of Sarah in the sink is too cute!
Go Rangers!! We are rooting for them down here in Houston since we can't manage to have our own winning baseball team, haha! That looks like such a perfect night to celebrate the World Series win. Now let's just hope they can hang in there and win another game to keep their hopes alive!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you guys got to celebrate the game with Jim's dad. I have no doubt that you guys created some great memories. Laine and his dad talk UT football all the time so I totally understand the bond sports can be for father/son. That's why I'm okay with Ryan and Jackson sharing that bond with Laine (even if it is UT.) I think it's a great thing for them to share. Hopefully Jacob and Lukie will share that with Jim as well...and maybe Sarah too!
