Our birthday girl

Happy 2nd Birthday our sweet, sweet Sarah-bear!

Two years old, my-oh-my! There isn't a day that goes by that you don't make me smile, laugh and love you even more. You are so full of life, so full of energy, so full of personality...you've got a spunk to ya that's for sure. Here are a few things we just love about your blooming personality:
*You love giving hugs and kisses on demand.
*You LOVE playing with your brothers. Since they call you "bebe" you in turn call them "bebe". Not "Jacob" and "Luke" but "bebe". You also say "guys" and "boys" when referring to them.
*You have a piercing scream you use especially when the boys are frustrating you or just out of pure joy and excitement.
*I've had to put you in time-out a few times for screaming "NO" at mommy when you've been mad.
*Like a true girl, you definitely have a sensitive nature about you. It doesn't take much for your feelings to get hurt and for the tears to start flowing. A hug and a kiss usually does the trick!
*You love to color. Anytime the boys are using crayons you are right there with them. Not.going.to.be.left. out.of.anything.
*You still don't like to eat much. A few bites here and there and you are on your way.
*You just cut your last and final tooth! Wahoo! The last of your two year molars just cut through. Thank goodness!
*Speaking of teeth, two days ago you had to have a dental procedure done to fix three chipped teeth and two cavities due to the chips. Another blog post to follow on this. NOT fun!
*Let's talk dresses- girlie- you have been SO into wearing dresses these days. You get so excited to get dressed and you look so proud once your dress is on. You smile so big and love twirling around in them. During the day, sometimes you go get a new one out of your dresser and bring it to me to put on. Now, I'm not one for changing clothes during the day for no reason. No need to create more laundry when we have plenty as it is. So you get very upset when you have to keep the original dress on. Or you go find one in the dirty clothes hamper and pull it out to wear again. You're not happy about that one either when I tell you no.
*Your vocabulary is increasing daily. I love hearing all the new words you are using.
*When I say "One, two, three...go" you in turn say "one, one, onnnnnne". Still working on those words with you. :)
*You still love your "doggies". In fact you now call them all "Abby" since the dog in Grandma and Grandpa's neighborhood is named Abby.
*You LOVE Minnie Mouse. As busy as you are, you will sit down and watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. You love it.

Since you love your "me-me" as you call Minnie, we decided to have a Minnie Mouse birthday party for you last weekend. Mommy had fun decorating and you were in heaven seeing Minnie everywhere. Here are a few pictures from your party.

Party favor bags with Minnie shaped sugar cookies with pink icing.

Everyone got a cupcake and a mini ice cream sandwich dipped in sprinkles.

You got a little shy while we sang Happy Birthday to you.
Your tried three times to blow out your candle but I had to help you at the end.

After we blew out your candle, Luke came running over to you and gave you a big hug. He loves you so much and he had been so excited for your party!

What's a party without a pinata?

You had a fun time opening all your gifts. You were in heaven with all the Minnie things you got.

You had lots of eager helpers.

Pinata time.

We rented a water slide inflatable for some summer party fun. Since it was 102 that day we thought having a water activity for the kids would be fun. They loved it!

Baby Joseph enjoying the baby pool in the shade!
Happy birthday sweet girl! You have been the perfect addition to our family and have made our family complete! We look forward to watching you grow and change this next year and are excited for what is ahead! We love you baby girl!

  2. Oh, what fun! The Minnie Mouse party looked oh-so-cute! Way to go, Momma!! I'm having a hard time believing that sweet Sarah Bear is already 2. She is definitely a big girl! I'm so glad you had such a fun party with her and all your family/friends. Wish we could've celebrated with you!

PS - Kaitlynn is calling all little girls "Sarah" now. Sarah must've made quite the impression, ha!
