Getting ready to hop through the egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa's
Grandma got the boys work gloves and Luke kept them on for the egg hunt.
Luke quickly got the hang of it and collected many eggs, with his over sized gloves and all.
Jacob had a blast
Jacob decided after the hunt to count his eggs, one by one. He ended up with 40! He was so proud!
And of course they had to feed the donkeys. Luke loves feeding them, he has no fear!
Jacob found a caterpillar and took it in as his pet for the day. He named him "Beamer" and was so cute with him. He tried to feed him grass and took great care of him. He cried when we told him he needed to let him go at the end of the day. Oh, and get this...he woke up crying later that night after he had been asleep for about 2 hours and when I asked him why he was crying he said "I want an animal". Oh dear. I knew this day was going to come but not this soon. I'm really trying to talk him into a fish or turtle. And actually my response was "how about a little sister instead?" Who has time for a pet with 3 kids?!?! Oh dear!
And we colored Easter eggs with Grandma. The boys loved it and definitely had multi-colored fingers when we were done.
Easter morning
A rare picture of just the 2 of us!

What pretty pictures girl! It looks like the boys had a super fun Easter at Mom & Dad's. You look so pretty in your Easter dress. Love you!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you're back - I've missed the updates and pics! Jacob and Luke look like they've grown since I last saw photos of them.
ReplyDeleteYou guys look fantastic. I love these Easter pics. And I love that Luke had a successful hunt with his gloves on - that was too cute!
You'll have to keep us posted on the "I want an animal" situation. I thought you had a great response with "how about a little sister instead." LOL! I don't look forward to those days!
Very cute! Take it from me...you don't want a pet right now :-)
ReplyDeleteHow fun. You guys got some great family pictures. That cracks me up about the animal. I would put it off as long as you can! I dread the day Jackson says he wants a dog. And to think I almost got a lab a few years back!!!!
ReplyDeleteKatherine that is such a fun photojournal of Easter!! I love seeing their gleeful little faces!! Joy. Joy. Joy. Luke is too funny hunting with his gloves... and, very successfully! Yeah... the animal thing... that's only going to get more intense. LOL!
ReplyDeleteNot sure why my comments aren't showing up so I'll try again...
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you had such a great Easter, and especially that you got to spend it with your parents. What fun and special memories! And those family pics are so wonderful. You are looking so great, Mommy! And I have to agree with your other commenters about the animal...hopefully you can put that one off for a while! Ha!
